The East Division police of KG Halli police on Saturday arrested a 29-year-old African National and recovered 500 grams of MDMA worth Rs.25 lakh from him.
The accused has been identified as,Nelson, Onwugbuo,native of Johanasburg in SA and presently living in Olive residency hotel in Kalyan Nagar
Senior officer told media persons,the KG Halli police inspector, Santhosh Kumar L,received a credible information about Drugs being peddled by a African National and is waiting to deliver his consignment to his clients in Charles ground in Bagaluru layout.
Based on information inspector and his crime team swung into action and rushed to the spot and kept a close watch on the African National and after getting confirmation that he is in possession of drugs substances the team surrounded the area for precautions and arrested red handed while he was waiting for his client at charls ground in Bagaluru layout.
Inquiries revealed that Nelson was arrested by Ramamurthynagar police last year for a similar case and remanded him to judicial custody.
He came out on bail and continue to peddle drugs,adding that the Nelson would sell one gram of MDMA for Rs 5,000 to his clients.
The KG Halli police have booked him under Passport Act,Foreigners Act and also under NDPS act and taken him into custody for questioning.
The accused is suspected to part of the inter state drug racket and further investigations are on.
