Bagaluru police arrested two armed robbers wanted in 8 cases

The Northeast Division police of Bagaluru Police on Friday arrested two persons involved in as many as eight criminal cases against them.

The accused has been identified as,Syed Imran, 28 and Afsar Baig,19.

Senior officers told reporters a private firm employee was attacked on kannur Bellahalli road on February 7 when he was standing near a condiments the duo stranger came in a bike and tried to snatch his bag.

The victim,resisted and raised alarm prompting the passers-by to rush to his help following which the accused escaped the victim said in his complaint.

Based on a complaint special team was formed under the supervision of ACP,Sampigehalli sub-division,Rangappa T,a team headed by PI,Bagaluru,Prashanth R Varna and his crime staff swung into action the team visited the crime scene and the team tracked down the accused through the CCTV footage and arrested them.

During investigation the accused confessed to the crime and a detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that the accused were involved in as many as eight criminal cases pending against them at various police stations across the city.

The duo has been taken into custody for further investigations.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East, Subramanyeswara Rao,DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,ACP, Rangappa T,PI,Prashanth R Varna,PSI,Annappakagwad,Ms.Shantavva B,and crime staff as, Basavaraj Lamani, Tejendra,Suresh Babu,Hanumantharayappa C, Srinivas, Krishnamurthy,and Iman Saheb has successfully nabbed the duo who were involved in eight cases and used to target private firm employee to rob them across city a suitable reward will be given to the team for their excellent work he added.
