A 70-year-old retired airforce pilot from Indian Air-force and his wife found murdered in their villa in Bidadi near Ramanagar on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Raghuraman,70 and Asha,63,hailed from Tamilnadu was working in Delhi.
The couple settled in Bidadi and living in C Block of a private villa since six years and their children live in Delhi.
Senior officers as,SP,Ramanagar, Santhosh Babu with other officers rushed to the spot,dog squad with finger print experts and Forensic experts were pressed into action.
After visiting the spot and taking stock of the situation and collecting details senior officer said,The Murder came to light at around afternoon when Raghuraman’s son called the security to check the home as his parents were not answering phone calls after he repeatedly tried to reach them.
The security guard came to the villa and found the pet caretaker at home.The caretaker was hired six months ago to take care of a stray dog and a cat.His job is to feed and nurse the pets .
He told the security guards that the couple had gone to Bengaluru and went out.The security guards inform the same thing to his son who then on suspecion asked them to go inside and check.
The employee took them inside and meanwhile he escaped when they found the bodies laying in a pool of blood in different bedrooms.
Then Bidadi police were alerted and senior police officer from Ramanagar district police along with dog squad conduced spot investigations.
Investigations revealed that the murder could have taken place in the previous night and the accused had used hammer to bludgeoned them to death.
The accused then ransacked the house to search for valuables and even consumed alcohol and stayed until the security guards came to the villa to check .
The bodies were shifted for the post-mortem and will be handed over to the family members on Wednesday and a special team has been formed to track down the assailant.
The police suspect that it is a case of murder for gain and the assailant who is caretaker of pets of the deceased is absconding soon after the incident came to light.
The police are now on the lookout for the suspect and awaiting the family members to ascertain about the missing valuables he added.
