Elderly couple robbed case cracked,two robbers arrested,stolen property Worth Rs.4.5 Lakhs Recovered

The Sudduguntepalya police on Wednesday arrested two persons who robbed an elderly couple at knife point on November 26.

The accused has been identified as, Manjunath and Babu.

Senior officer told reporters,based on complaint by Elderly couple a special team led by DCP, Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,under the supervision of Sudduguntepalya police inspector,Surendra Achar and his crime team visited the crime scene and collected information about the incident took place.

The Inspector and team Inspected the spot and swung into action the team collaborated CCTV footage in and around the area.

While analysing the CCTV footage the team found the accused has left in an auto rickshaw after commiting crime.

Based on the footage the team identified the auto registration number and zeroed in two on suspect basis and took them to station for further questioning.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and the both the accused revealed that the duo barged into the house situated in Krishnamurthy Layout threatened the couple at knife point and made away with a gold chain,five gold rings and cash Rs.15,000.

And it was revealed by seeing films they planned to rob elderly couple.

The team verified 50 CCTV cameras from in and around the area to identify the accused and based on their statement the team recovered stolen valuables from them and the duo have been taken into custody for further investigation.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated,Addl CP East,S Murugan, DCP Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,ACP, Nataraj DN,PI,Surendra Achar,PSI, Raghavendra,ASIs,as,Ajith Kumar,Chikkavenkatshetty,and crime staff as,Mosas Swaminathan,Nayaz Ahmed, Prashanth,Sathish,Veerabhadrappa, Jaikumar,Rudresh,Venu and Manjunath has been appreciated for nabbing the duo and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
