Jeweller attacked,valuables worth Rs 2.5 Crore gold bullion robbed by armed robbers in Bengaluru

Armed men robbed attacked jeweller and robbed 5.5 kgs of gold bullion in cubbonpet area under Halasurgate police station limits on Friday night.

Senior officer told media persons,The victim,Siddeshwar Haribha Sindhe,32,and his employee and Srikanth Jadhav purchased bullion at a gold company at indian express building and returning to his shop in a scooter.

When the duo reached Cubbonpet area at around 8.30 pm the accused armed with lethal weapons confronted them and the pillion rider attacked them with sword.

Shinde riding the scooter in a bid to escape the attack,lost control and the duo slipped from scooter .

Before the duo get up the accused snatched the bag containing gold and sped away with the scooter.

The total value of the robbed gold estimated to be around Rs.2.5 crore .

The duo was wearing helmets and jackets to avoid being noticed.The halasurugate police suspected that someone known to victims might be behind the robbery.

The police have stepped up investigation special teams have been formed to nab the miscreants and analyzing CCTV footage and are collecting technical inputs to identify the accused.

A case has been registered in Halasurgate police station and further investigation is on.
