Mankind Pharma grants Rs.2.7 crore to 90 police families of deceased COVID warriors in Bengaluru

State police head,Praveen Sood along with ADGP,Admin,MA Saleem on Monday issued a cheque of Rs 3 lakh to families of the 90 police personnel who laid their lives while enforcing covid guidelines .

The families were called to the police headquarters and Mr.Sood honoured them with the cheques,contributed by Mankind pharma limited,New Delhi.

The total value of issued cheques is estimated to be around Rs.2.7 crore .

As many as 90 families of police personnel, who succumbed to Covid during the second wave, each received a financial aide of Rs 3 lakh from Mankind Pharma,said DG-IGP,Praveen Sood.

Mr.Sood said that the government has already issued Rs.30 lakh to each families of the police personnel who died while enforcing covid duty.

Mankind Pharma’s contribution and such kind gestures stand as an acknowledgement to the sacrifices by the force in safeguarding the public during the pandemic.It also gives a sense of reassurance to the officials who risk their lives to protect the people,”

Apart from this the government has also assured government jobs to the dependent family members of the deceased police personnel.

The home department is with the family of the police personnel to extend required help,he said .

Manish Arora,Senior divisional Manager of Mankind Pharma,said that is a small contribution from the company for the police personnel who laid their lives while on covid duty.
