Jail inmates booked for threatening scrap dealer in Bengaluru

Mobile service continue unabated from highly secured central prison of Parappana Agarahara , as a 33-year-old scrap dealer from Gurappanapalya complained to the police that he is getting threat calls from murder case accused presently lodged in parappana Agrahara prison, demanding protection money on Thursday .

In his complaint Nayaz Pasha said that the duo called him while he was at work demanding Rs.1 lakh protection money and threatened to kill him if he did not pay.

Few hours later a person identified himself as Irfan called him asking him the location to come and get the money.

When Nayaz refused,Fakhruddin called him again on Friday and abused and threatened with dire consequences.

Worried about his safety,Nayaz approached the police seeking help.This is the second such incident reported as earlier on Sunday Security staff caught Fakir Ahmed Bava red-handed during a routine inspection.

He was talking on the phone from his room in front of Security Section 2 on the first floor.

Based on a complaint filed by Nayaz Pasha, a case on Friday following which the Sadduguntepalya police registered a case against Fakhruddin and Abdul Jabeer charging them under extortion and further investigation is on.
