Staff of a car service centre in the dock for misusing a SUV and driving around which they took it for repair.
Saraswathi in her complaint said that she had given her SUV (toyota Innova cresta) car for service on September 9 .
The cheating came to light when she received a message on her phone as part of toll tag alert , that her car had passed the Devanahalli toll in the wee hours of Saturday.
Further inquiries revealed that the service centre had misused her car and drove around 200 kms without her permission.
She sought the response from the centre and after failing to get any satisfactory response, she approached the police and filed a complaint.
Based on the complaint filed by Saraswathi K, 51,owner of the car, the Mahalakshmi Layout police booked a case against service centre of a reputed car company (Ravindu motors private limited,service centre situated close to ISKcon) charging them under cheating and criminal breach of trust on Saturday.
The police has summoned the authorities concerned of the company for inquiry, based on which action would be taken
