Security in and around Jalahalli air force station has been heightened since last 40 days after the sentry noticed blinking lights near the compound wall of the air force station during their rounds .
The air force staff searched for the object before alerting the police.Both Jalahalli and Gangammanagudi police rushed to the spot and conducted a detailed search but in vain.
The security personnel also could not see what exactly since it was dark,but suspected that it could be a small flying object like a drone, a police officer said .
It was one time unverified incident, which could not be confirmed after putting lots of effort into it, however a probe is on, the officer added .
A team of police deputed for almost 15 days at night to observe,if this type of incident gets repeated.
Nearby apartments and colonies were checked for any drone.But nothing was found” , Dharmender Kumar Meena,DCP, North division, said .
Air Force station authorities and local police are in constant touch and coordinating with each other to exchange information on the probe investigation is ongoing by the team he added.
