Tanzanian national drug peddler arrested MDMA drugs seized

The Ramamurthynagar police on Sunday afternoon arrested a 24-year-old Tanzanian national who was selling drugs to his customers near a park on OMBR layout.

Based on a tip off a team of officials led by Inspector Melvin Francis, rushed to the spot and arrested Eric Gord Frey and recovered 13 grams of MDMA in the powder form from him.

During investigation Frey told the officials that he bought the drugs from his contacts worth Rs. 20,000 and was selling them for RS 1500 per gram to his clients .

The police recovered 20 small plastic covers and a portable weighing machine from a bag he was holding .

The police also recovered Rs 1500 from his pocket which he had sold to his clients seconds before the police approached him.

Frey told the police that he did not have any travel documents with him.The police have booked him under NDPS and foreigners Act and taken into custody for further investigation.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East,S Murugan, DCP East,Dr SD Sharanappa,ACP,Ningappa B Sakkiri,PI,Melwin Francis and his whole team for the commendable job done by them in nabbing the Tanzanian national who was staying illegally and was peddling drugs to earn easy money is cooling heels in jail and for the exemplary work done by them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
