BBMP to intensify vaccination drive 50 vaccination centres to function till 9 p.m.

BBMP has successfully conducted the Covid19 Lasikaa Mela in all the primary health centres of all zones in BBMP limits as per the directions of the State Government.

BBMP aims to ensure all the adults in BBMP limits are administered at least a single dose of Covid 19 in the days to come.The following measures will be followed to achieve this goal successfully.

1.The vaccination target of BBMP has been revised to 1 lakh per day.All the zones will accordingly have a goal of 1 lakh vaccination per day and vaccines will be supplied as per the demand.

2.The permanent vaccination centres that have been identified in PHC limits will operate from 8 AM to 2:30 PM effective from 1st September 2021. If the public waits in the queue even after 2.30 pm,the vaccination programme for the day will be continued accordingly.

3.If the vaccine stock in the primary health centre is depleted by 2:30 PM,the concerned teams will issue tokens the next day’s vaccination.

4.Ensure that the 2 vaccination centres identified in every assembly constituency operate from 8 AM to 9 PM every day (listed in appendix 1).

5.In the BBMP limit,the first phase of the Bruhat Vaccination Camp (Bruhat Lasika Shibira) will be held in three centres from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.The vaccination time will be extended if necessary (the list is attached in Appendix-2).

6.Health officers of departments must arrange vaccination for residents of slums/low-income groups and must arrange special camps in areas where vaccination camps haven’t been held, as per the need.

7.Set up special vaccination camps with proper health facilities near the houses of senior citizens,bedridden patients,AIFI cases.

8.Through mobile vaccination centres,vaccinate the public at Bus Stations,Railway Stations, Markets,Government Offices,Tech Parks. (Identified mobile vaccination centres will be distributed additional vaccines)

9.Designate one day of the week as the Lasika Mela (Vaccination Campaign),with a minimum of 1.5 to 2 lakh vaccination targets.

10.Covid-19 testing should be performed only if people arriving at the vaccination centre exhibit Covid19 symptoms. They cannot be urged to undergo Covid-19 test for any other reason.

Zonal joint commissioners/health officers must form more teams according to the need & take necessary measures to achieve the vaccination target. Says a release.
