Drunk woman arrested for abusing cops inside police station

Staff of Kamakshipalya police station on Wednesday night had a tight time when a 32-year-old woman,brought to the station for questioning,abused the policemen and created ruckus under the influence of alcohol.

The drama unfolded when Archana reportedly got drunk and went to her neighbour identified as Kanaka to pay Rs 2.2 lakh due to her .

Heated arguments ensued between them when Ravichandra,husband of Kanaka,was beaten up by Archana when he tried to intervene.

Archana beat up Ravichandra tore his cloth and even threatened to file a case of sexual assault against him.

However neighbours rushed to his rescue and even alerted the police.Based on the complaint the police rushed to the spot and brought the duo to the station for inquiry.

Even at the station Archana was uncontrollable, started hurling abuses at the head constable who was inquiring about the incident.

She reportedly told him to get her dues or remove the uniform he was wearing and go home.Even the women police and other staff could not pacify Archana who was threatening the police and abusing them shouted and created ruckus, a police officer,said.

This is a rare experience for even policemen who have failed to handle a woman,he added.

Unable to bear the harassment,PSI Murthy,filed a case against the accused identified as Geetha Archana charging her under section 353,(use of criminal force to deter public servant to discharge his duties)and section 504,(intentional insult to provoke breach of peace)against her.The accused is arrested and remanded  to judicial custody,the next day.
