BBMP to hold Covid-19 Lasika Mela in Karnataka; aims to vaccinate almost 1,25,000 people

BBMP aims to vaccinate almost 1,25,000 (1.25 lakh) as part for the Covid19 Lasika(Vaccination) Mela, tomorrow.

The State Government is launching the vaccination campaign across Karnataka tomorrow to reach out to more people for vaccination.

Preparations are being made at zonal levels to achieve the intended target.Measures are being taken to vaccinate people at various sites including primary health centres and ensure no inconvenience is caused.

The required quantity of vaccines will be provided to each ward in advance.Arrangements have been made to provide vaccines through additional vaccine session sites along with required staff support.

Public has been informed of the vaccination programme in the city through the PHC network and the Health officers have been instructed to comply with the mandatory Covid guidelines during vaccination.

Key points:

-100% Covid-19 vaccination of health workers and frontline workers with pending 1st dose.

-100% Covid-19 vaccination of health workers and frontline workers with pending 2nd dose.

-1st and 2nd dose vaccination of people above 60 years of age.

-Vaccination of teaching and non-teaching staff of all government, aided, unaided schools (1-10th grade) and pre-university (applying to 11 and 12th grade,if they have not yet received the Covid-19 vaccine.

-Covid-19 vaccination of eligible beneficiaries over 18 years of age.

– Covid-19 vaccination of other eligible priority or vulnerable groups as decided by the local health officials.
