SJ Park Police Arrests 4 Persons,Seize 20 Kg Ambergris-Red Mercury Worth Rs.20 Crore

The Central Division police of SJ Park police have arrested four persons for holding banned items and trying to sell to their clients totally 20 Kg Ambergris-Red Mercury Worth of Rs.20 Crore seized from them.

Senior officer told media persons,our SJ Park Police sub-inspector received a reliable information about two persons are waiting for their clients to sell banned item as Ambergris-Red Mercury and are halted in a lodge in NR Road.

Based on a tip off a team of police swung into action and rushed to the spot our sub-inspector approached the suspects as customer to buy Ambergris-Red Mercury and when they approached the duo agreed to get the Ambergris to our sub-inspector and when the suspects showed the banned items our team raided a lodge and caught two persons with 2.5 kgs of ambergris also known as red mercury from their possession.

The team arrested duo who confessed the crime and said that they were waiting for the client to sell the banned item.

The team grilled them to know who all are involved in the racket the inspector and his team grilled the duo who spilled the beans and based on their information,the police arrested two of their associates from Hosakote and recovered 17.5 kgs of ambergris from them altogether 20 Kg Worth of Rs.20 Crore.

During investigation the accused told the police that they had sourced the banned items from malpe beach in Mangaluru from their contacts and were trying to sell it in the city to make a huge profit .

We have also seized four mobile phones from the accused and further investigating to ascertain their network.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP Central,MN Anucheth,ACP, Halasurgate sub-division,Smt.Nazma Farooq,PI, Shivakumar M,PSI,Ashok Thakur,ASI,VS Ramesh,and crime staff as,Jagadish, Chandrashekhar BS,Somappa Lamani, Chandrashekhar N,Sanju B Kilari,has been appreciated for the commendable job and good piece of investigation in nabbing the four smugglers who were trying to sell Ambergris-Red Mercury and to make quick buck is now cooling their heels in jail and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
