Illegal constructions demolished from Amruthahalli lake

The Illegal Construction demolition was taken up in Yelahanka zone, Byatarayanapura Ward-07 near Amruthahalli lake by BBMP.

The Amruthahalli lake in Yelahanka Taluk,Jakkur Hobli is 24 acres 36 Guntas and over 15 crore property of 20guntas was illegally acquired and Shed and toilets were built and that has been demolished.

Senior BBMP official said,This Amruthahalli lake (Survey 115) comes under Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP)and a survey was conducted with land records officials (01/2021-22 and 06/08/2021) with the notification which had survey number 115 and illegal occupying of the land was found out.

Further,BBMP’s Lake Development Special Commissioner Reddy Shankar Babu,Dr Ashok, Joint Commissioner,Lakes and Mohan Krishna, Chief Engineer,Yelahanka Tahashildar,and other zonal Engineers were present during the demolition of the shed and toilet which was constructed illegally. After the demolition, a boundary with wires and poles, said Lakes department engineer Prakash KV informed.

Lake Development with Rs. 4 crores cost;

Amruthahalli lake was transferred from BDA to BBMP and now under the provisions of 15th Financial Budget, Rs 4 crores have been allocated for the development of the lake.

Not,the Karnataka Tank Conservation & Development Authority – KTCDA will chalk out the plan for the development and tender will be called to start the development work.
