Inter-state weapon racket busted by Ashoknagar police four held,2 Country made pistols,five rounds ammunition,1-magazine recovered

The Central Division police of Ashok Nagar police busted another inter-state weapon racket and arrested four persons red handed while they were waiting and trying to sell to their customers ans hand over the weapons.

The accused has been identified as,Sonu Kumar, 32,Sunil Kumar,32,Irfan Imtiyaz,26 and Murali Vinod,47.

DCP Central,MN Anucheth told reporters,our Ashoknagar police inspector,MS Bolletin received a credible information that three persons are waiting in a bike near the Hindu cemetery on hosur and are in possession of country made pistols and are waiting for their clients to handover.

Based on a tip off,a team of police led by Inspector,MS Bolletin,rushed to a place near the hindu cemetery on Hosur road and kept a close watch on their movements and after getting confirmation that they are holding illegally country made pistols our team rounded the area from all the corners and raided the place.

The team conducted a raid on the place and secured 3 persons and when they frisked them they found 2 Country made pistols,5 live ammunition,1 magazine and mobile phones were recovered.

During investigation the accused has been identified as,Sonu Kumar,32,Sunil Kumar,32,Irfan Imtiyaz,26 and Murali Vinod,47.

The accused confessed the crime and told the police that they are sourcing the weapons from their contact identified as Lutan Singh from Sultanganj in Bihar state .

The police recovered two country made pistols, five rounds of ammunition,one magazine,two bikes and five mobile phones from them.

This busted close to the heel of CCB arrested three inter state gun runners and recovered  seven weapons and 19 rounds of ammunition from them on Saturday.

The accused Ayazulla,30,Syed Siraj,42, and Arun Kumar,26 were sourcing the weapons from Amritsar and Shirdi and were selling it to the gangsters and habitual offenders .

cases of weapon trade in the city are on the rise as the police have registered as many as six cases since January this year.

The city police cracked a whip on the gangsters and rowdy elements especially after the brutal murder of Rekha Kadiresh in Cottonpet in June.

The police carried out raids on the houses of rowdies and initiated legal action after they found violating bail and bond conditions.

Despite strict actions the sale of guns and the arrest of gun runners is a matter of concern for the police department .

The accused have been booked under Arms Act and taken into custody to ascertain their trade network.
