Covid patient jumps to death from fourth floor of Victoria hospital :

A 26-year-old auto rickshaw driver ended life by jumping from the fourth floor of the victoria hospital ward on Wednesday where he was being treated for covid infection.

The deceased has been identified as Kumar,26,

According to the police Kumar was admitted to the hospital for the few days ago and since then he was under depression.

However the family members raised doubt about the death stating that Kumar was assured by the doctors he was cured and would be shifted to the general ward soon.

DCP South,Harish Pandey and VV Puram police visited the spot and conducted spot inspection.

Based on the complaint the police have taken up a case of unnatural death and are awaiting a post mortem report to ascertain the cause of death.

This is the second case of suicide related to covid infection as on Saturday 61-year-old Ramanna ended life by hanging at the room of a private hospital in Vijayanagar where he was admitted for treatment .
