Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, Safai karamcharis, Doctors, nurses and medical staff are working as the true national heroes, putting their lives at high risk. In such tough times, several individuals and groups of people are restoring our faith in humanity. Organisations and people are carrying out their moral responsibilities to protect our healthcare heroes from the infectious environment of CoronaVirus.
Concerned about the safety of essential service providers in the current tough situation, an NGO, Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) with the support of GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd prepared safety kits consisting of face masks, hand gloves, goggles, cap, soap, jacket and handed over 300 kits to Sh. Pradeep Khandelwal, Chief Engineer and Devender Singh, Asst Engineer at East Delhi Municipal Corporation so that it can be distributed to the safai karamcharis of EDMC, who are working day and night to keep our city clean in this tough time.
We are distributing these masks because we want to ensure that healthcare heroes in the city are safe. We wanted to contribute in some way to the cause. Their persistent work and self-sacrifice show the best of humanity. It is time to put aside our differences and to work together to protect those who are protecting all, said Ashish Jain, Founder Director of IPCA.
IPCA has also joined hands with CA Parivaar, a group of more than 200 Chartered Accountants of North India, which is being led by CA Sanjeev Singhal ,Central Council Member, ICAI. He along with his friends (Pradeep Gupta, GP Aggarwal, Ankur Bansal, SK Aggarwal, Manoj Gupta, Subhash Gupta, Anil Gupta, Raj Aggarwal, Narender Singhania, Kapil Bagadia, Arun Jain and many more) raised funds to procure medical equipments, PPE for medical staff. With the support of individual contributions from CA Parivar and IPCA staff, they have handed over 250 PPE kits to Directorate General Health Services, Govt of India.
They also said they might distribute more masks to the people in the coming days.
