On behalf of Congress president Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee provides relief material to people affected by violence in North East Delhi.

Newly appointed Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Choudhary Anil Kumar, along with vice-presidents Shri Abhishek Dutt, Ms. Shivani Chopra, Shri Mudit Agarwal and Shri Ali Mehndi today visited the violence-affected areas in North East Delhi and supplied relief material, consisting of essential commodities and daily use items, including grains and food items, to the families there, both Hindus and Muslims.

Choudhary Anil Kumar said that the situation in North East Delhi was now under control, and to extend the message of peace and brotherhood, Congress workers have been having regular interaction with families affected by the mindless violence and supplying them relief material sent by Congress president Smt. Sonia Gandhi.

Choudhary Anil Kumar said that people should maintain peace and brotherhood as the Congress’ aim was to create communal harmony and peace among all sections of people, so that they continue to live in a peaceful and cordial atmosphere as before. He said that Congress will spare no effort in maintaining peace and harmony in the violence-affected areas of North East Delhi.

DPCC vice-presidents Shri Ali Mehndi and Ms. Shivani Chopra today visited Karawal Nagar’s Chand Bagh, Khajuri, Mustafabad and Nehru Vihar areas and met the families affected by the violence and enquired about the welfare. They went to the houses of the people affected by the violence  and supplied them with one month’s ration, including essential commodities and daily-use items. Shri Ali Mehndi and Ms. Shivani Chopra were accompanied by District president A.R.Joshi, all Block presidents, those who contested the MCD elections, Mahila Congress and Youth Congress workers. Choudhary Anil Kumar said that the Congress was solidly behind all those affected by the violence in their times of crisis.
