19th World Veterinary Day function was organized by Canis Welfare Pet Club

This year the 19th World Veterinary Day function was organized by Canis Welfare Pet Club  on 28th April, 2019 at GOLA CEREMONIAL BANQUETS, 8/39, Kirti Nagar Industrial Area, Opp. MDH Factory, Near Kirti Nagar Metro Station, New Delhi – 110015.  The theme of World Veterinary Day 2019 was “VALUE OF VACCINATION.” Vaccination is an essential tool for disease prevention, promotion of animal health and welfare, and reducing the risk of human exposure to many zoonotic diseases.


Our Club organized this function for the 7th consecutive year. The event was attended by approximately 400 veterinarians from Ministry of Agriculture, Defence, AWBI, Paramilitary Forces, MCD, Foreign Veterinarians, Private practitioners from NCR Delhi and Veterinarians from other states.


Dr. Suresh S. Honnappagol, Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Govt. of India  graced this occasion as Chief Guest in this function.


Col (Dr) Ranadhir De (Retd), President of the Club welcomed all Veterinarians, including one lady Veterinary Surgeon from Vietnam gathered to celebrate the auspicious occasion.


Maj. Gen. (Dr.) R.M. Kharb, AVSM (Retd), Ex Chairman, AWBI enlightened the gathering on the theme “Value of Vaccination” which was very well appreciated and he was conferred with the Guest Speaker award.


On this occasion Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on Prof (Dr.) A.K. Srivastava, Chairman, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board. Dr. Srivastava has been conferred with this honour for his exceptional contribution in the field of Veterinary profession and community mobilization for sustainable development.


Many other Senior Veterinarians were also felicitated on this occasion. These included Retired Veterinarians, Private Practitioners, Veterinarians from Govt. Ministries, Paramilitary Forces, AWBI, MCD etc.


Title Sponsorship Award was given to FARMINA PET FOODS. Co-Sponsorship Award was given to, VETLAB, ALL VET Diagnostics Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Awards for Contribution were also given to many other Veterinary Pharmaceutical Companies.


Overall the entire event was a great success
