CLEVER MOTORISTS CAN SLITHER UNDER LAW
Government is planning to stop new vehicles registration in Bangalore for two years keeping in view of high rate of pollution and excessive registered vehicles on the roads causing unbearable traffic jams exodus showing no signs of easing the situation. As on 31-3-17, statistics say, 76,00,000 (seventy six lakhs) plus vehicles on the roads to 1.30 crore population. Presumably, 31-3-18, it would be 81 lakhs, keeping 5 lakhs increase every year. It would be naive to expect that people are so clever that they obtain neighboring state registration and run the vehicle on the Bangalore city roads by paying Karnataka State road tax. Even, the same anology can be adopted in obtaining driving license too, if in case, traffic police confiscate the errant drunkards DL on third warning. Traffic police should have think tank on this subject.
