Delhi, 20th August 2018: The glamour quotient and oomph factor of Yamaha Fascino Miss
Diva Miss Universe India 2018 styled by Central elevated its 6 th year with the launch of its all
new season. The winner will represent the country at the coveted pageant Miss Universe.
Collaborating in this incredible journey of bringing forth Indian beauty and talent at the global
beauty platform, Lara Dutta who is the mentor and face will take over the mantle of finding
that one girl who will revolutionize the definition of Fun, Adventurous, Witty, Sporty, Sassy,
Sensual, Fit, Compassionate & Captivating.
The nationwide auditions began in June giving the winner the once in a lifetime opportunity
to attain a ticket to Miss Universe. The 10 city auditions that traversed through the length and
breadth of the country from cities like Lucknow, Kolkata, Indore, Hyderabad, Pune,
Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Delhi culminated into the final leg of auditions at
Mumbai last week and announced the TOP 20 finalists who shall now compete for the
coveted crown.
The Top 20 finalists will undergo vigorous training & grooming from the best in the industry
and will participate in 4 city sub-contest event followed by a thematic night, which is
an all new format with a unique concept based event to vie for the crown.
The first sub contest was in Goa followed by the second at the Roseate House, Aerocity
New Delhi. The 20 finalists will travel later to Chennai and the final sub-contest will be in
Mumbai, to gauge the girls on various winning qualities.
The evening was graced by celebrities like former Miss Universe Lara Dutta, Sophie
Chaudhary and Pulkit Samrat at the red carpet at Roseate House, Aerocity New Delhi..
Lara welcomes the guests and introduces the new format and explains how the new format
is an invite for people to witness what goes into making a Diva. She speaks about the
qualities she is looking for in this year’s winner who will be representation India at Miss
Universe.
While the girls were judged on the sassed of YAMAHA FASCINO MISS TALENTED, GLAM
STUDIOS MISS GLOWING SKIN, Dr KATHURIA’S MISS BEAUTIFUL SMILE and
ROSEATE HOUSE MISS SPIRIT OF DELHI, Kailash Kher kept the crowd engaged with his
singing.
An elite fashionable set of panelists and Judges for Delhi sub-contest included :
1. Lara Dutta:- is an Indian actress, model and beauty queen who was crowned
Miss Intercontinental 1997 and Miss Universe 2000 . She was the second woman
from India to be crowned Miss Universe , and has been the only delegate from
India to win the crown since.
2. Sophie Chaudhary :- is an Indian singer and film actress. She has been active
primarily in Indian films and is also a former MTV India VJ and occasional model
and television presenter.
3. Pulkit Samrat :- is an Television actor, Indian film actor and model. He made his
debut in Hindi cinema with Bittoo Boss and later acted in films like Fukrey, Dolly ki
Doli and many more.
Yamaha Fascino, on the insatiable quest to stimulate the fashionable youngsters, is the Title
Sponsor of the beauty pageant in its 5th year. The rewarding association will bring onboard
its strength and expertise to support talented and ambitious women of today till their much-
cherished first stardom.
