Notorious Bike Theif Arrested,10 Hi-End Bikes & A Pistol Total Worth of Rs.8.37 Lakhs Recovered By Basaveshwaranagar Police :
A Psycopath bike theif arrested by Basaveshwaranagar Police 10 costlier stolen bikes worth of Rs.8.37 Lakhs with a country-made pistol has been recovered.
The Basaveshwaranagar cops arrested a man charging him of planning to kill his parents the cops have seized a country made pistol and eight live bullets from him.
The accused has been identified Sharath Lokesh a resident of vrushabhavathinagar in Kamakshipalya he is a BE graduate failure in love changed him.
Although Sharath is qualified engineer by profession he is a burglar.
Sharath was finally arrested by Basaveshwaranagar Police Inspector Somashekar G,and his crime staff.
Senior officer told media persons,that Sharath used to click pictures of expensive bikes he downloads all the information of the bikes from the RTO website he then forged the details and steals the bikes and sells them.The accused has been identified as Sharath a resident of Papareddypalya,Nagarbhavi.As on 5th July Basaveshwaranagar Police Inspector and his crime staff were on night rounds and they were on lookout for chain snatchers and were checking vehicles and at the same time he (Sharath)was intercepted near Kurubarahalli Circle after the police developed a suspicion about his movements.When the police found a gun and bullets with him,he told them that he had researched effective methods to commit suicide and had decided on shooting himself.The police immediately took him into custody.Upon inquiry,during the interrogation he has confessed to crime that he used to steal bikes to make ease money and spend for his life lavishly and detailed investigation by the team the accused spilled the beans and said that he has purchased the pistol from a friend from Bihar to kill his own parents it is suspected that his parents interference in his love life made him to go to the extent that he wanted to kill them.Upon further investigation,it was found that he was involved in the theft of several Two-wheelers,Based on his statement as many as 10 two-wheelers,in which 6 Royal Enfield bikes with other bikes worth Rs.8.37 lakh were recovered from Sharath, 25, who was wanted in, Basaveshwaranagar,Vijayanagar, Kamakshipalya,Subramanyanagar, Mahalakshmi Layout and Yeshwantpur police station limits.The police also seized a country-made pistol and Eight live bullets.The accused has been taken into police custody he added.
DCP West,Ravi D Channannavar,told media persons,that the accused Sharath Lokesh was nabbed by Basaveshwaranagar Police Inspector Somashekar and his staff in Basaveshwaranagar Police station limits while he was on night rounds he found from suspicion against the person and took him into custody and while intercepting they have seized 1 Pistol and 7 live bullets from his possession.When our cops questioned him he said he used to steal expensive bikes parked on the road and based on his statement we have recovered 10 bikes.When we questioned him about it he told us that he stole for his daily expenses.Sharath has confessed that he wanted to commit suicide and also kill his parents the accused Sharath is in police custody and investigations are underway and a case has been registered in Basaveshwaranagar Police station against the accused and we have seized the weapon and the vehicle, and booked a case under the Arms Act and motor vehicle theft and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,T Suneel Kumar,has appreciated Addl CP West,B K Singh,DCP West,Ravi D Channannavar,ACP Vijaynagar Sub-division,Parameshwara Hegde,PI,Somashekar G,PSI,Prabhuswamy,and crime team as,Srinivas,Rupesh,Sudhakar,
