Notorious Inter-State Bike Lifter Gang Busted By HSR Layout Police, 46 Hi-End stolen Bikes Worth of Rs.75L Recovered

HSR Layout police have busted an interstate bike thieves gang who were involved in bike lifting in South-East parts of Bengaluru.
The accused has been identified as,Mohammed Mujahid,(24),Mustakin, (19),Ishtiyaq,(25) Noor Ahemed,(21) and Zulfikar Ali,(20),all the accused are from Ambur in Tamil Nadu.
The five accused had stolen 46 bikes worth Rs 75 lakhs in the last six months.Their main target were stealing high-end bikes parked in the wayside of the roads to make easy money.
A special team was formed to track the movements of the suspects after there were several complaints about bike thefts in Parappana Agrahara,Bandepalya,HSR layout and surrounding areas.They are very quick,Some bikes were stolen in less than 60 seconds.They seem to have practised the art of breaking bike locks with ease.
Addl CP East,Seemanth Kumar Singh told media persons, that as there were many bike theft complaints were reported in Southeast division areas like,HSR Layout,Bandepalya and Parapana Agrahara police station limits,a special team was led by DCP Southeast,Dr.M.B.Boralingaiah under the supervision of ACP Madiwala Sub-division,Sampath Kumar,HSR Layout PI,D.R.Nagaraj and his crime staff swung into action to nab the notorious gang we enhanced night patrolling in all the areas and as on 26th June our night patrolling team as,Mahantesh,Ningappa,Sathish and Rajashekar,attached to HSR layout police Station were on night rounds they noticed a Tamilnadu registered Ertiga car moving around them suspiciously.The police team stopped the vehicle and started questioning them when they intercepted the vehicle our team found a bunch or sets of duplicate bike keys in their possession.As soon as they found duplicate keys they were taken to station for further questioning and our team while inquiring they found that one of the member of gang is a habitual offender identified as Zulfikar who was arrested by the Parapana Agrahara police station in the year 2017 and with his arrest they have recovered 37 bikes from him.Our team grilled the accused Zulfikar he spilled the beans and confessed to crime and revealed that they had lifted several bikes in Parappana Agrahara, Bandepalya and Electronics City and further he said that the other accused were all his associates and they had come to city to steal bikes.They said they used to arrive to city in a SUV in the late midnight at 2:30am and would roam in and around HSR layout Bandepalya and Parapana Agrahara and would search for costly bikes parked along the wayside and they used to identify bikes at random places and after identifying they used to steal three to four bikes at a time and return back in the morning to Tamilnadu and one among them would drive the car back to Tamilnadu and they used to choose border areas to escape.And after stealing bikes they would go towards Hosur village roads to avoid toll plazas fearing their images would be caught in the CCTV cameras.They used to sell the bikes to youths as college students in Tamilnadu at a cheaper price in the areas where police patrolling would be less,and some of the bikes they have dismental it and sold the bike parts in grey market and all are by profession are two wheeler mechanics.Based on their statement a team was sent to Tamilnadu and other surrounding areas and we have recovered 46 Hi-End stolen bikes worth of Rs.75 lakhs from them.The recovered bikes are,Royal Enfield Bullet-15,KTM Duke-13,Bajaj Pulsar-10,Yamaha R15-07,Honda Shine-1,totally 46 stolen bikes has been recovered from them all the five members used to steal bikes to leave a lavish lifestyle and now they all are cooling their heels in jail and a case has been registered in HSR Layout police Station and further investigation is on and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,T Suneel Kumar,has appreciated,Addl CP East,Seemanth Kumar Singh,DCP Southeast,Dr.M.B.Boralingaiah,ACP Madiwala Sub-Division,C.Sampath Kumar,PI,HSR Layout,D.R.Nagaraj,PSIs as, G.K.Ravi,Paul Priya Kumar,Guruprasad and crime staff as,Shivanna,Sardar Pasha,Tirumalegowda,Umesh,Sathish, Mahantesh,Rajashekar,Ningappa Aramani,Chikkavenkatashetty,Ramachandra,Venkatswamy,Suresh and Kesti has been appreciated for the commendable and tremendous job done by them and a reward has been announced to the four police personnel who has nabbed the notorious Inter-State bike lifter gang he added.
