Vijayanagar cops nabbed notorious History-Sheeter after shootout.

A 21-year-old history-sheeter wanted in robbery cases,was shot at by the Vijayanagar police inspector,G.N.Nagesh ,after he attacked policemen in a bid to escape them.
A head constable Srinivas murthy sustained injuries in the incident that took place in Kamakshipalya in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Senior officer,told media persons that Tarun alias Sharavana,a resident of Tunga Nagar Bytarayanapura police station limits,was supporting his gang here so,when we sent a team headed by ACP Parameshwar Hegde and inspector Nagesh to carry out investigations they attacked our police personnel and in self defense our officers shot him.More than 7 cases have been registered against Tarun in kamakshipalya it includes robbery and attempt to murder.We are expecting that more accused will be arrested. A report will be submitted to the court he added.
DCP west Ravi D Channannavar, told media persons that ,two incidents of robberies were reported recently. In the incident that took place in Vijayanagar police station limits on May 21, a gang of five miscreants in a car had waylaid a biker on Pattegarapalya Main Road and had robbed him of his mobile phone and a UPS system.In another incident near Malagala underpass under Kamakshipalya police station jurisdiction on Sunday, three men had attacked a person and robbed him of Rs 3 lakh cash.We led a special team under the supervision of ACP, Vijayanagar,Parameshwar Hegde,PI,G N Nagesh and his crime team were swung into action to crack these cases and they had arrested,B M Pradeep and Akshay as on 24th May based on credible information and during interrogation the accused had revealed that they had committed the offence along with Tarun alias Sharavana, Nandish and Sumanth.On Tuesday night, the police team received a tip off from their informants that the accused were seen in an auto rickshaw bearing a register number KA02-AB-5733,near Kamakshipalya.As soon as the information passed inspector, Nagesh with PSI Hareesh Kumar and other crime staff rushed to spot and when the police team intercepted them, the accused Tarun alias Saravana got down from the auto and tried to escape.When the police nabbed him,to evade arrest he attacked our head constable Srinivasamurthy with a knife.Then Vijayanagar police inspector G N Nagesh fired a warning shot in the air from his service pistol and despite that, the accused tried to attack policemen.In self defence, the inspector shot at the accused and injured the accused identifed asTarun alias Sharavana in his left leg.Both Saravana and Srinivasamurthy were rushed to hospital.Saravana, a history-sheeter in Kamakshipalya police station, is allegedly involved in seven cases and more accused will be arrested,a case has been registered in vijayanagar police station and further investigation is on and finally Bengaluru police commissioner,T Suneel Kumar,Addl CP West,B K Singh, has appreciated DCP West,Ravi D Channannavar,ACP Vijayanagar Sub Division,Parameshwar Hegde,PI,G.N.Nagesh,PSI,Hareesh,and crime staff as Srinivasmurthy has been appreciated for their brave act who has nabbed the notorious history sheeter and robbery gang he added.
