6th Global Festival of Journalism, Noida 2018: 2nd Day Highlights

 

The 3-day journalistic extravaganza, named “Global Festival of Journalism, Noida” celebrated its 2nd day in progress at Marwah Studio Complex, in Film City, Noida. This is the most prestigious and the only festival of its kind to promote journalism in the entire world. The 2nd day also witnessed journalists from all over India and from all parts of the World. The purpose of this festival is to flourish mankind, integrity and affection in the country through the spirit of journalism, i.e. to promote love, peace and unity through journalism.

 

On the second day of the 6th GJFN, a seminar was organized on the topic “Sensationalization of News”. Mr. Sandeep Marwah -President of “Asian Education Group” (AEG) welcomed the distinguished guests who participated in this seminar. The guests were H.E. Augusto Moniel Ambassador- Venezuela, Mr. Omkareshwar Pandey Group Editor – Sahara News, Ms. Shweta Jha Senior Anchor – Aajtak, Mr. Santosh Bhartiya, Mr. Kumar Mohan Editor –Bollywood, Mr. Aalok Puranik- TV Reporter and Yusuf Ansari -Sub Editor from Zee News.

 

Another seminar on “Changing facets of Radio & TV – Creating New Opportunities” was organized.  Students were assembled to learn the latest changing trends in the Digital Age. Mr. Sandeep Marwah – President Asian Education Group (AEG) along with all Chief Guests were present. The key speakers were

Mr. Amitabh Srivastava, Miss. Kiran Jha from AIR, RJ Rahul Makin from Fever FM, Dr. Kapil Sharma Deputy Editor from News Nation, Anchor Saeed Ansari, Mr. Sumyajit Mahapatra, Mr. Vijay Vidrohi and Dr. Sandeep Marwah President – AEG.

 

In the event “Screening of Documentaries” many documentaries were screened.  Many documentaries from all over India directed by budding and Professional Directors were screened by the most eminent Jury members. AAFT and ASMS also actively participated in the same.

 

Out of many events took place today; “News Bulletin – Pahel 2nd day got released” & Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Poster also got released. Student’s Competition on “Journalist Writing” was organized in which many students pursuing the course of Journalism and Mass Communication participated with full enthusiasm.

 

“Painting Exhibition” was also inaugurated by Mr. Sandeep Marwah and other elite guests. Paintings of Deepak Joshi were showcased. It was observed that the renowned painter was enthusiastic to showcase his imagination through paintings. Huge crowd gathered to visualize the same.

 

Besides having seminars, workshops were also held and became the key attraction of this grand Festival. The first workshop was on “T.V. Reporting”, being highly successful in pulling students pursuing Journalism as their key profession. The key speaker was Mr. Ashutosh Principal Correspondent from Aajtak. The second workshop was on –“Radio and Print Journalism”. The key speakers were Mr. S. S. Dogra, Mohd. Ujaale from Indian Express and RJ Manish Azad from Radio Rainbow. Another third last workshop was conducted on “Photography: An essential tool of Journalism” by Mr. Arun Sharma.

 

Today’s programme came to an end by awarding Lifetime Achievement Awards and Excellence Awards. Cultural Programme comprised of Singing, Dancing and short Drama had stolen the attention of almost all the spectators present. Lastly, the Fashion show captivated the entire crowd present there.
