Except kodigehalli police station case all accused arrested .
In the wake of increasing attacks on policemen by miscreants in the city, the Commissioner of Police,T Suneel Kumar at a press conference along with Addl CP West and East, B K Singh and Seemanth Kumar Singh in their presence on saturday he asked the cops not to hesitate to shoot at them.He warned that people who attack police personnel on duty will be fired upon,He, however, added that they will be shot in the leg in self defence.
There has been a spate of attacks on police personnel in Bengaluru recently. Thirteen such attacks have been reported last week.
13 assaults on policemen in a week.
The issue of attacks on cops surfaced on Friday following reports of two Banaswadi constables being attacked allegedly by miscreants.
JAN 11: Banaswadi police head constable Manjunath and constable Bhootaiah assaulted allegedly by a sixmember gang on Kammanahalli Main Road. Two arrested.
JAN 12: HAL police Sub Inspector, Naveen Kumar and police constable Mohan Kumar attacked allegedly by techies in front of Brookfield Mall, near KundalahalliGate. All three arrested.
JAN 13 : Constable Srisaila of Cubbon traffic police station attacked. One arrested .
JAN 15 : Constable Anil Kumar of Mahalakshmi layout police station attacked.
JAN 15: KG Halli head constables Mallikarjun and Ravindra, constables Anand Shirol and Basavaraj Tonape attacked allegedly by two Congo nationals at HBR Layout. Both arrested .
JAN 15: Bagalagunte head constable Girish and constable Harish attacked allegedly by three men in T Dasarahalli. Two arrested.
JAN 16: JJ Nagar constable Rajendra G assaulted at Obalesh Colony. When a Constable went to attend a complaint he was attacked with lethal weapons by one local vagabond of the area who was creating ruckus in the area the constable rushed to spot where there was no street lights too in the area as soon as he rushed to spot the miscreants attacked him with machete and the constable sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital as soon as the incident occurred Inspector Lingaraj with other senior officials as DCP West, M N Anucheth with Addl CP West, B K Singh visited the spot and collected all the stock of situation after visiting the spot,speaking to media persons senior officer told Preliminary probe revealed that the youth who attacked Rajendra with the machete was Mohammed Ali, a local vagabond. It is learnt that police picked up five people including Ali as part of the probe.
JAN 17: Kodigehalli police constables Siddappa and Paramesh attacked at Tata Nagar, rifle snatched. No arrests; rifle still not found.A special team has been formed to nab the culprits by Addl CP East,Seemanth Kumar Singh under the supervision of DCP,Girish S and we will nab the culprit soon he said.

Addl CP East, Seemanth Kumar Singh, told, The Jeevan Bhima Nagar police have arrested four men for allegedly misbehaving with a woman sub-inspector.The accused has been identified as Vidyananda, 26,Jittu, 25, Akhil, 26, and Sachin Dev, 25, are residents of Thippasandra. The incident happened at 2 a.m. on Friday when Sub-inspector Ashwini was on night rounds. When she spotted their vehicles parked on the road, she asked them to leave. They allegedly refused and started abusing and misbehaving with her. They were taken to the police station. The sub-inspector has filed a case against the accused. All four were produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
JAN 20 : A jeep of R T Nagar police inspector vandalised by miscreants .
JAN 24: DCP West, M N Anucheth, told media persons that as on 16.01.18, Shri Rajendra,of JJ Nagar police station Hoysala Vehicle driver was assaulted grievously by one Aleem Khan, 34 years while on duty. Case was registered in JJ Nagar Police Station and 3 teams were formed to nab the accused.Today Inspector Lingaraj and 3 staff of JJ Nagar Police station were on duty to apprehend the accused.They had information that he was lurking near Chikkabasti (near Ullal).Based on information today afternoon at around 2:15pm when the police personnel tried to arrest the accused, he has attempted to assault police and evade arrest once again.In Self defence J J Nagar, Inspector Lingaraj opened fire thrice from his service pistol. The accused has sustained 2 injuries to his legs.and he has been shifted to Victoria hospital and is undergoing treatment  further investigation is on he added.

Aleem Khan s/o Khaleem Khan, 34 yrs, r/o 11th cross Padarayanapura.
He is an accused in the following cases :
1) murder case in byatatayanapura Police station in 2007.
2) Preparation for dacoity in JJ Nagar Police station in 2011.
3) 2 robbery cases in JJ Nagar and Vijayanagar in 2011.
4) The latest case being the grievous assault on police staff.
T Suneel Kumar, Bengaluru city police commissioner said,Recently there was a instance of people the bad characters coming on way of performing duties by police personnel especially during at the night. There was one incident in East division in HRBR layout in the evening where a Congo national lady and her boyfriend they were driving their car in an abrievated  condition.On the based on information the police went there and when they asked them to stop the vehicle and come to the police station they resisted the police action and the lady who was under the influence of alcohol she manhandled my constable immediately both of them have been arrested after calling more police personnel.Both of them have been booked under serious sections and this two still are still in judicial custody they have been arrested and produced before the court and they have been sent to the jail and they are in jail .Similarly in J J Nagar one of my Hoysala staff who got some information that some nuisance is going on in padarayanapura locality where there was no power when this man alone goes inside and one Mohammed Ali by name a criminal he assaults him and run away we are aware of this fellow and a special team has been formed and we are going to nab this Mohammed Ali at the earliest.As one more incident of near kodigehalli when two constables have gone in chasing old criminals who has come for there to commit some offences these constables were criminals have taken a right turn and our constables have taken a right on a two wheeler from the two wheeler they fell down fearing the police may open fire the criminals have taken away their weapon as Riffle 303.Special team has been formed under the Addl CP East, Seemanth Kumar Singh is persuing seriously the case. There was another incident in Jeevanbhimanagar police station were in four fellows who are drunked and doing some nuisance in the roadside at 2:30 am in the night the women sub Inspector who went along with the constable at the spot and when she asked them to come to the police station they resisted and they started arguing along with the help of the local police all these four fellows were arrested and brought to the police station.When they have brought to the police station while going inside the police station they have picked up some stubbling with the sub Inspector that connection also serious sections were added on all these four fellows have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody and they are in jail.In this cases all these four fellows are one is software engineer and they have no criminal background.In HRBR layout also there is a Congo nationals and they have no rowdy sheets are open against them whenever the police goes tries to do their job there is some resistance is happening we have instructed our officers and men mercilessly to use serious sections of law and pin them down and in necessary cases whenever the police come across very bad criminals they should not hesitate to open fire against the criminals police have every right to open the fire to safeguard the life and property of the public and in self defence also they can open fire instructions have been given to the extension of opening fire against the criminals who obstruct and come on the way of police performance he added.
