Burglars drills into jewellery shop, makes away with 3 kilos gold and silver articles in Bengaluru .

* “Burglars rented a room atop of the shop”
*  Thief has drilled a hole using drilling tools and gas cutter.
*  The hole was not visible due to false ceiling in the shop.
* Thief has even fled away with Digital Video Recording (DVR) of CCTV cameras installed in the store.
Shocking burglary in Bengaluru at cottonpet area rober drilled a hole through flooring of a room in a platinum lodge where the burglar stayed for more than 20 days.
The jewellery shop located on the ground floor of the same building and the rober has ransacked the shop and fled away with 3 kg gold and silver ornaments worth about 1 Crore .
The incident came to light on Sunday morning, when owner of Kanchan Jewellers,Himmat Prakash Suklecha, opened the store and found the place ransacked.He immediately informed the Cottonpet police.Senior officers with Cottonpet police inspector Kumaraswamy with other PIs as U D Krishnakumar,Jagadish,and their staff rushed to spot and cordoned the area.
Suresh,Shopkeeper told media persons that one man had booked a room in the lodge and stayed for 20 days. He has drilled a hole in the ceiling yesterday when he had closed the shops last night. We got to know that the shop was burgled when they opened the shutters this morning.The thief has apparently stolen 3 kilos of gold ornaments he added.
Lateef, Platinum Lodge manager told media persons, that today was the last day. He produced his voter ID and registered his name as Wassem. He told us that he was working for a printing press shop he added.
DCP West Zone M N Anucheth with ACP Chickpet Sub Division, Niranjanraje urs with neighbouring station PIs PSIs and and their crime staff rushed to spot and cordoned the area and after inspecting the spot of the crime and after collecting stock of the situation from the shop owner and officers, DCP West Zone M N Anucheth said A  jewellery store, Kanchan Jewellers owned by Mr. Himmat Prakash located on Cottonpet main road was found to be burgled today morning.The store is located in the ground floor of a two storey building. In the 1st floor of a lodge by name Platinum lodge is present.The thief has rented a room in the lodge since last 20 days.The room is located directly above the jewellery store.The thief has used drilling tools and has managed to drill through the concrete floor of 1.5ft thickness and made a hole about 1.5 ft wide.He has entered the jewellery shop and broken open the locker and stolen Gold & silver articles and escaped and preliminary investigation has revealed that the theif has used a fake voter ID card to get a room in the lodge.The jewellery store was closed yesterday and the other occupants or lodgers had complained to the lodge owner about continuous drilling sound for 10 days, but the owner and the management failed to act, and shown negligence to check it Sniffer dog with finger print experts are pressed into action to gather vital clues about the scene of crime we have obtained CCTV footage from inside the lodge and nearby areas to identify the suspect and we have decided to take stern action against the management of the lodge for entertaining a man with fake identity card and ignoring complaints of other occupants.A special team has been formed and are on lookout for the notorious thief.A Case is taken up in cottonpet Police station and investigation is on he added.
This is the third such incident in the recent past. On June 30, a jewellery shop in Bommanahalli was burgled in a similar way.The police have suspected the involvement of professional gangs from outside the state.
