Karnataka Bandh may not affect normal life tomorrow .

Pro-Kannada organisations have called for a Karnataka bandh on June 12 to press for their charter of demands, including farm loan waiver, Prime Minister’s intervention in the Mahadayi river water dispute and a permanent solution to the problem of water scarcity in arid areas. The dawn to dusk bandh has been called by ‘Kannada Okoota’, an umbrella organisation of Kannada bodies.

VTU Postpones all Engineering Exams Scheduled Tomorrow has been postponed to June 13th .
BMRCL, KSRTC, BMTC to run operations depending on ground situation. Auto drivers union and taxi operators union have said they will not be joining the bandh.
The city may not be badly affected by the bandh called by pro-Kannada organisations on Monday. Autorickshaws, metro and buses will operate, according to officials and union leaders. Schools will remain open on Monday.
Several pro – kannada organisations have Called for a bandh tomorrow . However it looks like there will be a low – key bandh tomorrow with many organisations refusing to extend their support.
No support for Vatal’s Bandh call for June 12 .
Vatal Nagaraj made a big announcement on the band call on June 12,it seems that support is not forthcoming for it.Pro-Kannada outfits,schools,KSRTC and BMTC,Hotel Associations,Petrol bunks and private bus owners have refused to support the bundh.These are the ones who have opposed support for the bandh.where as on the other side Sara Govindu from KFCC,Dr.Rajkumar fans,Kannada Sena,KRV fraction of Praveen Shetty and Shivrame Gowda have extended their support for the bandh.
Vatal Nagaraj, Prez,Kannada Okoota held a press meet at press club of bengaluru addressing the media persons he told, This isn’t the first bandh that I have called for I have organized 50 bandhs in the past .The entire state is facing a very serious situation today.But neither the state Government has taken the necessary steps that they should have during such serious situation.Our efforts are to draw attention to the pressing issues in our state through the bandh .
BMTC,KSRTC To Operate Normally .
Nagaraj Yadav,Chairman BMTC told,As Kannadigas we must all join hands when the issue is about water or of some urgency,but I request the pro – kannada organisations staging the bandh to be cautious not to make way for the bandh to escalate to a strife.However,we will decide whether to call off services depending on the situation on that day.It is important that our buses are not destroyed or damaged,or that our passengers are not harmed,and it is my sincere request to the organizers that they ensure these things do not happen.Nevertheless I empathize with the intention of their cause he added.
Shashi Kumar,General Secretary School unions said, We have more than 2500 institutions spread across North Karnataka,Kolar, and Ballari.I spoke to the Commissioner a while ago to get a grip on the situation.It is a request to the government that if a bandh is officially declared, it must be declared at least a day before to avoid inconvenience to the students across the state.Schools are also authorized to decide whether they’ll declare a holiday on that day he added .

In the wake of karnataka bandh tomorrow  Bengaluru city police serves warning  notice to pro kannada activist citing Supreme Court order and warn kannada activists against troubling genreal public. who have called for bandh as precautionary measures all senior officers are patrolling in the main street of the city as they don’t want to give any chance and pro kannada activist across city are likely to be taken into preventive custody and for the safety of general public KSRP platoons deployed at sensitive spots in the city.
Senior officer said as there is a bandh called by some pro kannada organizations. We have done elaborate security arrangements and we will give security to all shops and establishments so we appeal to genreal public to not heed rumours and do not be panic as the activist will organise a peaceful protest through a rally from town hall to Mysore bank at 11 am in the morning he added .
