•South Western Railway has won the Shield for best performing Zone in the Environment and Cleanliness category.
South Western Railway and Central Railway jointly won the best-performing zones in the Environment and Cleanliness category across Indian Railways.
A total of 21 shields will be awarded to Zonal Railways/PSUs.
Union Minister of Railways,Communications & Electronics,and Information Technology,Ashwini Vaishnaw,will present these shields for the best performance in specific fields to the Zonal Railways on December 15, 2023,during the 68th Railway Week Central Function–Ati Vishist Rail Seva Puraskar-2023, organized at Bharat Mandapam,Pragati Maidan,New Delhi.
The Minister of State for Railways,Coal & Mines, Raosaheb Patil Danve and Minister of State for Railways & Textile, Smt.Darshana Jardosh will be the guest of honour;Chairman & CEO and Members of Railway Board,General Managers of all Zonal Railways and heads of Production Units of Railways and PSUs of Railways will also be present on the occasion.
