Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru urban has filed a complaint with the central cyber crime police that someone unknown man stole his details to cheating officials of his department.
Dayananda KA,in his complaint on Wednesday,said the accused has used the name,photograph and designation to send whatsapp messages to the officials of his department asking them to send the money .
Mr.Dayananda came to know about this and complained to the police along with the phone number the accused was using .
Based on the complaint, the central cyber crime police have taken up a case under theft identity .
In November 30,fake FB account in the name of former police commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji,through which a person is seeking money from people citing an emergency.
Jabir Khan,a resident of Thanisandra who is one of the victims,had filed a complaint based on which the police registered a case of identity theft and impersonation under the IT Act on November 30.
