Just like Shiv Sena was split less than a year ago, now NCP is in pieces. Senior leader of the party, Ajit Pawar, son of Pawar’s son Swayana, split the party. He immediately joined the government. He was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister and 8 other ministers in the Eknath Shinde government. This development that took place in Mumbai on Sunday was a shock. Sharad Pawar was in Pune when the incident took place. He warned that action will be taken against those who split the party. Pawar has decided to hold a party meeting in Mumbai on the 5th of this month to discuss the current situation. Devendra Fadnavis is already the Deputy Chief Minister.
Recently, Ajit Pawar had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Eknath Shinde.
