ppropriate decision to be taken after discussion with farmer leaders and activists
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that he will review the amendments to the Land Reforms Act,the APMC Act and the Cattle Slaughter Act.
He held talks with various farmer leaders who met him today.
Farmer leaders expressed concern that the small and very small farmers who constitute more than 85% will be affected due to the the Union Government’s decision to introduce corporate agriculture.
The Chief Minister said that he will hold a separate meeting to discuss in detail the policies and regulations required for the development of the agriculture sector.
Badagalpura Nagendra,Chamarasa Mali Patil,G. Subaiyya Reddy,H.R.Basavarajappa and others were present in the delegation.
