The cubbon park police have cracked 9 months old case which was not even reported a anonymous letter to a alert constable with a video helped them to crack a unreported case which turned kidnap and murder for not repaying loan.
The accused has been identified as,Manjunath,Sridhar,Venkatachalapathy,his son Sharath and Dhanush.
Senior officer told reporters A tip off received by our alert head constable,helped cubbon park police to crack a nine month old kidnap and murder case.
The accused had abducted the victim sharath from konanakunte near babashankari after he failed to repay loan,they took him to chikkaballapura where he was tortured brutally before being murdered.Later they carried his body to charmudi ghat and dumped by the accused and returned.
In order to create an alibi the accused started messaging his family from his mobile stating that he was going out of town to work and threw the phone in the moving truck.
The Cubbon Park police inspector and staff swung into action and arrested Manjunath,Sridhar, Venkatachalapathy his son sharath and Dhanush.
During investigation it was found that Sharath had borrowed huge amount of loan from the accused and started dodging them promised to get them loan under govt SC ST scheme.
After waiting many days the accuses abducted Sharath in March 23 took him to a farm house in chikkaballapura and tortured him many days before killing him.
The accused even made him to call family saying he would going away to earn money unable to bear harassment from money lenders and torures for 6 days before killing him.
They stuffed the body in a gunny bag carried to charmadi ghat and dumped.They also threw his phone in a moving truck.
The accused returned to city and moving around. Meanwhile one of the accused releases the video on social media and it reached the cubbon park police.
Family of sharath thought he was away to work to escape from borrowers and did not file complaint.
