CCB police arrested 12th pass Acupuncture practitioner sexually harassing women patients in clinic

The CCB officials on Tuesday arrested a fake doctor a Acupuncture therapist for sexually harassing his women patient on the pretext of administering therapy .

Senior officer told reporters,Based on a series of complaints from the victim,the CCB registered a case and track down the accused Venkataramana, who was hiding in Tadipatri in Andhra Pradesh.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and detailed inquiries revealed that Venkataramana,a resident of Mattikere was working as commercial manager at a private company for ten years before switching his profession.

A detailed investigation found that Venaktraramana had attended a session about Acupuncture and a discussion with the speaker expressing his interest to learn more.

Based on his advise he enrolled into a two years course on acupuncture at an institute in Jayanagar and after completion,he started a clinic to practice near his house .

Since four years he was offering acupuncture therapy for the patients and started harassing women patients sexually by getting their clothes removed on the pretext of therapy and also recording the videos .

The accused has been booked under sexual harassment and also under various sections of the IT act for further investigations.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Joint CP Crime,Dr SD Sharanappa,DCP Crime,Yathish Chandra N,ACP,Smt.Reena Suvarna and their whole team for their excellent and meticulous investigation in nabbing the fake doctor a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
