A-50-year-old woman and her 28 year old daughter injured when a speeding KSRTC bus knock their scooter down while they were trying to negotiate a bad patch of road on the busy Vatal Nagraj road near Lulu mall in Malleshwaram on Monday.
The victim,Umadevi,50,was riding pillion while her daughter Vanitha,28,was riding the scooter to drop her back home when the accident occurred at around 9.30 am.
Umadevi was residing in Gayathri Nagar had gone to visit her daughter Vanitha in Srinagar .
VAnitha was dropping her mother home in a scooter when the incident occurred .
Vanitha lost control over the vehicle after being knock down by the bus and duo slipped from the bike.
While Vanitha fell on the left side,Umadevi came under the front portion of the bus and got hit by the foot board and sustained severe injuries on her hip.
Passers-by rushed the duo to near-by hospital where Umadevi is being treated at ICU while Vanitha escaped with minor injuries.
The Malleshwaram traffic police rushed to the spot and detained the driver and seized the bus for further investigations.
The police barricaded the bad patch of the road for further investigations.
