Kannada Film actor Duniya Vijay’s son Samrat and his friends have been booked by Kengeri police for allegedly abducting and assaulting their classmate following a trivial dispute over a road incident.
The victim, identified as Manish Gowda,was allegedly dragged into a car and assaulted on Monday afternoon near RV University on Mysuru Road.
He later underwent treatment at a private hospital before approaching the Kengeri police and filing a complaint.
According to the complaint,the incident is suspected to have stemmed from an argument over a vehicle overtaking incident on Monday evening.
Samrat and his friends were travelling in a car when Manish and his friends,who were in another car, allegedly overtook them near Rajarajeshwari Nagar.
The issue reportedly escalated the following day.Manish was outside RV University on Mysuru Road when Samrat and his friends allegedly confronted him,forcibly took him into a car and assaulted him.
Manish and Samrat are students of the same college , police said.
Kengeri police have registered a case based on Manish’s complaint and are investigating the allegations.
