Pakistan Song Used In Tipu Sultan Cutout Post: Chikkamagaluru Police File Suo Motu Case,SP Forms Special Team

A controversy has erupted in Chikkamagaluru after a group of Muslim youths allegedly uploaded a social media reel featuring a 40-foot-tall cutout of Tipu Sultan installed in the city as part of Eid Milad celebrations,with a song associated with Pakistan’s Mujahideen allegedly used as the background music.

The video was reportedly shared through the Instagram account “Chikkamagaluru Power Tipu Boys.”

The use of the song,which allegedly refers to Pakistani soldiers,has sparked criticism and raised concerns over communal harmony.

Following the incident, Chikkamagaluru Town Police Sub-Inspector Dhanraj lodged a complaint at the Chikkamagaluru Town Police Station.

The complaint alleged that the song was deliberately used in a manner that could disturb communal harmony and hurt religious sentiments.

It also sought action against those allegedly responsible for using the song with an intention to create hatred and communal tension.

Based on the complaint,Chikkamagaluru Town Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the social media post and those behind it.
