The Parappana Agrahara police have arrested two persons,including a woman from another state,for allegedly stealing luxury cars and selling them to buyers in Rajasthan.
A SUV worth Rs.35 lakh,stolen from a hotel parking lot in Singasandra,has been recovered from a desert area in Rajasthan.
The case dates back to June 26,when the complainant,a Chennai resident,arrived in Bengaluru in his Toyota Fortuner for a weekend trip.

He stayed at a hotel on Hosur Road and drove out around 9.30 pm to watch a movie.
After returning around 1.30 am, he parked and locked the vehicle in the hotel parking area.
The following morning, he found the SUV missing and lodged a complaint with the Parappana Agrahara Police Station.
The police verified the technical evidence , zeroed in on the duo and tracked them to the Belagavi–Pune National Highway near Karad on July 4.
While the prime accused managed to flee with the stolen vehicle, his female associate was caught.
During interrogation,the woman allegedly confessed that the duo had been stealing expensive cars and selling them for easy money. She was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
A special team was subsequently formed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police to track down the absconding prime accused.
Acting on credible information,police arrested him near Silk Board on July 17.
Police said the accused admitted to using duplicate keys made with sophisticated equipment to unlock luxury vehicles and drive them away.
The stolen cars were allegedly sold to his contacts in Barmer,Balotra and other parts of Rajasthan.
Based on information provided by the accused, the stolen Toyota Fortuner was traced and recovered on July 24 from a desert area at Aleti,within the jurisdiction of Dhorimana Police Station in Rajasthan.The vehicle is valued at approximately Rs.35 lakh.
Police also found that the accused had allegedly been involved in 21 previous cases registered in different police station limits across Bengaluru,Hyderabad, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
The accused was produced before the court on July 17 and taken into police custody for 14 days.He was subsequently remanded to judicial custody on July 30.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of M. Narayan, IPS,Deputy Commissioner of Police,Electronic City Division,and the leadership of Satish R,Assistant Commissioner of Police,Electronic City Sub-Division. Police Inspector,Naveen Kumar P.G.of Parappana Agrahara Police Station and other officers and staff were part of the team.
