In view of the JDS protest scheduled at Freedom Park in Bengaluru from 8 am to 6 pm on August 18,2026,the Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic restrictions and alternative routes to ensure smooth movement.
Vehicles approaching Freedom Park from Mysore Bank Circle Via K.G.Road and intending to take a right turn must compulsorily use the Maharani Underpass Road on Palace Cross Road.
Vehicular movement between Freedom Park Junction and Kanakadasa Circle has been temporarily restricted.No vehicles will be permitted on this stretch.
Motorists travelling from Khode Junction towards K.R. Circle can use the Old JDS Office Road to avoid congestion.
Protesters are expected to proceed on foot from the railway station through the flyover road.
The road from Subbanna Junction to MTR Junction, currently a one-way, has been temporarily converted into a two-way road.Motorists heading towards Gandhinagar can use this route.
Parking of all types of vehicles is prohibited from Khode Junction to Maharani Junction, as well as on Y. Ramachandra Road,Kalidas Road,Palace Road and K.G. Road.
The Traffic Police have appealed to motorists and the general public to cooperate with the traffic arrangements and use the designated alternative routes to avoid congestion.
