A 72-year-old man died after falling from the 18th floor of an apartment complex near magadi road under the jurisdiction of K.P.Agrahara police station on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Parameshwar,who was residing at ETA Gardens apartment along with his wife,daughter and son-in-law.
Senior officer with KP Agrahara police inspector and staff rushed to the spot with SOCO team and said the incident occurred around 1.45 pm.
A security guard noticed Parameshwar lying on the ground and alerted the police and his family members.
Preliminary inquiry based on his wife’s statement indicated that Parameshwar may have lost his balance while cleaning glass shards from the balcony and accidentally fallen from the 18th floor.
However,police are also probing the possibility of suicide,as the exact circumstances leading to the fall remain unclear.
The body was shifted for post-mortem examination.The K.P.Agrahara police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) and are investigating the incident.
