“Sangolli Rayanna sacrificed his life at a young age in the country’s freedom struggle,and his life is an inspiration to the youth,”CM D.KShivakumar said.
On the occasion of Sangolli Rayanna’s birth anniversary, Shivakumar paid floral tributes to the Rayanna statue near Majestic and later spoke to the media.
“Such leaders should be born again to protect the integrity,unity and peace of the country. Siddaramaiah has developed this historic area so that the names of such heroes will remain etched in history.
The circle, flyover and railway station in the central part of Bengaluru have been named after Sangolli Rayanna.
“Only such heroes attain the heaven of bravery through a heroic death.Rayanna asserted that freedom is our right.
His birth and death anniversaries will remain forever in the pages of the country’s history.We remember him, and the youth should emulate his footsteps,”he said.
