A 40-year-old man allegedly strangled his two minor daughters before attempting suicide at a hotel in north Bengaluru on Monday evening, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Shaik Zehara (5) and Shaik Zoya (10).
Their father,S.G.Imran, a resident of Bilal Nagar near Nagawara Main Road,was found in a critical condition and shifted to Manipal Hospital by the hotel’s security staff.Police said he is currently out of danger and undergoing treatment.
Senior officer told reporters that Imran allegedly killed both his daughters and subsequently attempted to take his own life.
Police recovered a note from the spot in which he allegedly referred to marital disputes with his wife and claimed that he suspected her of being in a relationship with another person.
We are verifying the contents of the note and investigating the circumstances leading to the deaths.A murder case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
