An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldier,who had come to his native village on leave,died after his motorcycle rammed into a tractor parked by the roadside near Gadasahalli on Kanakapura bypass road late Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Channaveeregowda(45),a resident of Shivanahalli in Kanakapura taluk.
He was serving as a soldier with the ITBP and had returned to his native place on leave a few days ago.
According to the police,Channaveeregowda was travelling on the motorcycle with his son when the accident occurred near Gadasahalli.
His bike crashed into the stationary tractor,leaving him seriously injured.
He was immediately shifted to Kanakapura Government Hospital.
However, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving adequate treatment,his family members alleged.
The family accused the hospital staff of negligence and alleged that the delay and lack of proper treatment resulted in his death.
They expressed anger against the hospital staff, holding them responsible for the soldier’s death.
Kanakapura Traffic Police visited the spot,conducted an inspection and registered a case.Further investigation is underway
