*Opportunities for Party Workers in Boards and Corporations.
*Ministers Directed to Conduct Drought Study Immediately.
“No one can stop those who want to resign. If a resignation is submitted,I will accept it within moments.
All of this happens in politics. In the past, when Parameshwara and I did not get ministerial posts, were we not patient? If you want a political future, the party is paramount,”said CM DK Shivakumar.
Shivakumar responded to questions from the media near his Sadashivanagar residence on Tuesday.
When asked about some MLAs preparing to resign,he said,”Parameshwara and I were denied ministerial posts in the cabinets of Dharam Singh and Siddaramaiah.
Couldn’t I have resigned then? During Veerendra Patil’s time,Bangarappa was not given a ministerial post.Didn’t Bangarappa and Dharam Singh become Chief Ministers later?Mallikarjun Kharge was also not given a position.”
“In such situations, one must remain patient.Above everything else, the party is important.
I will direct all heads and office-bearers of boards and corporations to resign. We had informed everyone in advance about the two-and-a-half-year tenure.
This was communicated to MLAs and ministers as well. First, power will be given to party workers. After that,we will call the MLAs for discussions.
If there is any fresh update,I myself will call the media and speak,”he added.
*Ministers Directed to Conduct Drought Study.
“I have instructed all the new ministers to immediately visit the districts assigned to them and assess the drought and flood situations.
Furthermore,I have directed officials to make all necessary arrangements for site inspections,”he said.
