Traffic Curbs Ahead of New Ministers’ Swearing-in at Lok Bhavan

Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced extensive traffic restrictions and diversions in the Central Business District (CBD) on Monday in view of the swearing-in ceremony of the newly inducted ministers, scheduled to be held at 5 pm at the Glass House, Lok Bhavan.

The event is expected to be attended by several VVIPs and dignitaries.Entry to Lok Bhavan will be restricted to invitees,while the general public will not be allowed inside the venue.

To facilitate smooth movement of VVIP convoys and manage traffic,restrictions will be in force from 2 pm to 8 pm,while heavy vehicles will be barred from entering Bengaluru city limits between 2 pm and 10 pm.

Traffic Restrictions:

Movement of all vehicles,except those officially authorised for the event,will be prohibited on:Cubbon Road from BRV Junction to CTO Junction and from CTO Circle to Lok Bhavan.

Balekundri Junction towards Dr B.R.Ambedkar Road.
Dr B.R.Ambedkar Road from KR Circle to Coffee Board Junction.

Queens Junction towards CTO/Lok Bhavan.
St Mark’s Road towards CTO Junction via Queens Junction.

Alternative Routes:

Motorists have been advised to use alternate routes, including:Via Shivajinagar and Anil Kumble Junction from BRV Junction.

Cunningham Road via Balekundri Junction.

Nrupathunga Road for traffic from KR Circle towards Coffee Board Junction.

Anil Kumble Junction and BRV Junction for vehicles approaching Lok Bhavan from Queens Junction.

Vehicles travelling from Halasuru and Old Airport Road towards Kempegowda International Airport should proceed via Shivajinagar,Cunningham Road, Vasanthanagar and Hebbal.

Traffic from Halasuru and Old Madras Road towards Hebbal should use Tin Factory Junction and the Outer Ring Road.

Vehicles from MG Road and Ashirvadam Circle towards Hebbal should take the BRV Junction-Shivajinagar-Cunningham Road route.
