In a heartwarming display of compassion and public service,women police personnel from the Chennammanakere Achukattu Police Station looked after an eight-month-old infant,enabling the child’s mother to appear for the State Police Constable Recruitment Examination without worry.
The incident took place at Krishna College,one of the examination centres in Bengaluru,where the woman candidate had arrived with her eight-month-old baby.
As she was about to enter the examination hall,the infant began crying uncontrollably.
Despite her efforts to comfort the child,the baby continued to cry,leaving the mother distressed over whether to attend the examination or stay back to care for her child.
Noticing her predicament,the women police personnel deployed on security duty at the examination centre approached the candidate and assured her that they would safely take care of the baby while she wrote the examination.
Reassured by the officers,the mother proceeded to the examination hall.
During the examination,the police personnel carried, comforted and played with the infant,ensuring the child remained safe and cared for until the mother returned.
After completing the examination,the grateful mother thanked the police personnel for their timely assistance and kindness.
The thoughtful gesture has drawn appreciation from the public,with many praising the Chennammanakere Achukattu Police for demonstrating that policing is not only about maintaining law and order but also about serving the community with empathy and humanity.
