In a case of internal theft,Bagalur police have arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly stealing mobile phones from an Amazon warehouse located under the jurisdiction of the Bagalur Police Station in Bengaluru.
Senior officer told reporters that the accused was working at an Amazon seller services private limited warehouse when he committed the theft.
During an internal audit conducted on April 9,2026, officials discovered that four mobile phones were missing from the facility.
A complaint was filed by a company representative, following which a case was registered at Bagalur Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
CCTV footage analysis reportedly showed the accused, identified as Jodigala Vamshi,stealing the devices and leaving the premises.
Police teams traced and apprehended the accused on April 10th 2026.
Based on his confession,officers recovered six stolen mobile phones worth approximately Rs.2.3 lakh.The recovered items include:
Three Apple iPhone devices.
One Oppo mobile phone.
One Vivo mobile phone.
One Motorola mobile phone.
The devices were seized from his residence in Vinayakanagar area.Further investigation is underway.
