An unidentified man aged around 50 years found dead on the divider of BGS flyover upramp on Sunday night .
The city market traffic police personnel Basavaraj and Vasanth Kumar reached the spot based on the information and found the man lying unconscious with severe head injuries .
He was rushed to the Victoria hospital where the doctors after examination declared him as brought dead.
The police said that an unidentified vehicle coming from town hall moving towards Mysore road knocked him down in a rash and negligent manner when the victim was crossing the road.
The city market traffic police have registered a case of hit and run and efforts are on to track down the vehicle and also to ascertain the identify of the deceased.
