The HSR Layout police have registered an FIR against the head of a private hospital for allegedly sexually harassing a 30-year-old woman employee.
The accused,identified as Dr.Rakesh Jayaprakash,has been booked under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint by the victim, who worked as an accountant at the hospital for the past nine months.
Senior officer told reporters that,the woman alleged that the accused made sexual remarks and behaved inappropriately with her during work hours.
He reportedly commented on her attire and appearance and allegedly asked her to wear a blazer while on duty.
The complaint further states that the accused sent inappropriate messages, including “miss you,”over WhatsApp after office hours.
On April 3,he allegedly called her while she was returning home with her husband and made remarks about her looks.
Despite repeated warnings,the accused allegedly continued his behaviour.The woman later informed her husband,leading to a domestic dispute,after which she resigned from her job.
Police said a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
